Female or young male? Question

    There are a few other threads much like this one. I got a pair of Pearl Gouramis that were hanging out together in a tank of blue gouramis. My guess is I got one male and one female but the smaller one might just be a younger male. The larger one (not pictured) has a red chest and belly with a long dorsal fin. He wouldn't come out where I could get a good picture. The one pictured is a little smaller with a much smaller dorsal and barely in color on its belly. Opinions, boy or girl? They seem to get along and are always near each other.

    Can't see the pictures, herd they are kinda difficult to sex but males are more agressive so if you have other fish in the tank with them it should be the one that enjoys chasing fish every so often

    I'm not sure why I keep having issues with photos. The one I think is a male is certainly more aggressive though.[​IMG]

    I'd say female though I can't see the dorsal very well. The belly seems to be bigger / deeper than a male's.

    Starting to doubt know. I'll have a look tomorrow on a normal PC !

    It defo will. When / if it is laying eggs I can tell for sure hahaha.
