Female Betta Behavior

Hello! I bought a female betta a while back for breeding but she never got barred or egged and would just flare at my male whenever I showed them to each other. She also flares at her reflection whenever I turn the lights on in the morning and viciously attacked the shrimp and snails I put in with her. Other females I’ve had have been far more docile and made good community fish. And it made me wonder if this a sign of stress. Or is she just a very aggressive betta?

I think she’s likely just very aggressive. She may need time to adapt to the male being their and she might get more flirty. Take this with a grain of salt though, I’ve never bred bettas.
