No directions on my powerhead. Which end is sucking water and which end does water come out? Thanks.

Water is sucked from the bottom (the end with the strainer, which keeps large debris from entering) and exits from that straight round port on the side. Usually you get a flow deflector with them... but you may not, either.

Edit: also, that tube attached... it allows air bubbles to be blown from the output. Usually you have the option to use that tube or put a cap over the hole. Make sure that, if you choose not to use the tube (I don't) then do not use the powerhead with the hole capped off. Don't want your fishy friends to get sucked in!
