Feeding while on vacation - What should I do?

Hello fellow aquarists,

I am leaving for vacation soon and I will be gone from tomorrow night until Wednesday midday. Our caretaker will not be coming over as she is also leaving town. I will, of course, feed my fish a larger amount than usual before leaving so they will be stocked up for a little while longer, but other than that, they will not be getting any food whatsoever until I come back. Is there anything I can buy/do to keep them fed for the time that I will be gone? Any suggestions whatsoever are helpful. Thank you!

So 3 or 4 days? No worries fish can go a week easily without food.

Don't feed them extra.!!! Some food may not be eaten and they will poop more adding ammonia. Just feed normal and then feed them when you get home.

I don't have any experience with them, but I've seen tablets for sale that your stick on the side of the tank for situations like that. And I'm not so sure feeding extra before you leave is a good idea. If they don't eat it all that could cause an ammonia spike, and just when you aren't there to take care of it.

Edit: It looks like StarGirl15 beat me to it.

Sorry everyone, I forgot to mention that one of my fish had babies a week ago so I am a bit concerned that they will be the ones that actually suffer. Thoughts?
