We feed every morning and although we started with about 5 Orfe/ shubunkin and 1 ghost koi we now have probably 25+ with maybe 5 died over 15 years but difficult to count. Weed disappears so we throw in organic watercress every couple of weeks and they nibble it leaving my husband to remove small pieces with a net. I assume many babies are eaten by the Koi as all the fish we see are large except for one 3 inch that has survived and perhaps some small ones under the waterfall. Some fish are black/silver and not sure if a parent is the Koi or other.
