Can RCS just live off with algae or do I have to feed them? I have algae wafers but I just want them to get rid of algae in there. I put one of almond dried leaf too

we feed shrimp to get nutrients they can't get by natural food.
it's a misconception their main diet is algae.
if you scrape algae off your glass, they'll will eat it up,but don't expect them to clean the tank for you.
algae wafers have little algae, mostly it's fish food.
they have foods made for shrimp that are better for them.

yeah, they can live without being feed, but maybe not as healthy.

RCS don't really eat algae. They eat biofilm and food you give them. They'll also eat the almond leaf as it decomposes.
