hi

so I got some type of Knifefish, its still a bit small like 15 cm (Don't worry, I have a pond ready when its adult) what should I feed it with such a small mouth lol, if I feed it meat, will it get aggressive? and if I should, what's the amount of meat should I feed it?

Over the years I have a had a few knife fish and every one of them had different habits. My current one is at the 12" mark and eats a mix of HikarI cichlid gold and live rosies. He is housed with a few other smaller fish along with a breeding pair of BN plecos. Over the years I have found it to b better to always give him the option of a live feeder for when his predatory instinct kicks in. By trying to keep a couple of them in there he doesn't show aggression towards the other fish.
However when I first got him (4.5-6") he attacked my Paco and killed it and also killed the convicts only eating 1 just killing the rest. Knife fish each have their own personality. I've read some people training them on just pellets and others being completely against it. I personally like to give mine alittle of both.
Note: my knife is in a 120 gallon 48"x24"

That's cute knifefish! Oh! By the way, my clown knifefish is shy and sometimes scare other fishes if they are trying to attack him, he usually hides in a Breeding Pipe. I think he will make a great pet when he grows up \(^3^)/

My African knife fish loves massivore sinking pellets, and they are easily broken up by hand. He also enjoys diced frozen tilapia filet, that I thaw before feeding
