Feeding Corys With Competing Bottom Feeders

I'm worried my corys might be out-competed for food by my four shrimp and, surprisingly, my platys, who aggressively feed at every level of the tank including the bottom.

I usually feed flakes and while the platys go for that, put in shrimp pellets and sinking wafers. But the platys make quick work of flakes, and never satisfied, start scouring the bottom. The shrimp immediately come out and grab food. The sweet corys seem to never be in a rush and just leisurely search the bottom all day, but I can't tell if they ever get food.

Your Cory's are getting food, if you watch their activity thru out the day you'll see them scouring the bottom picking up pieces of food.

Advantage is that Corys always find and eat the tiniest foodparts. So where other fish loose interest Corys will search till the last part. Crumble food and they definitely will get enough.

I'm very new here, but recently purchased a group of corys from excellent LFS. The owner told me that 1) they'll always find food in the substrate and 2) if the Corys get hungry enough, they'll occasionally swim up to feed with the others (or get more aggressive at the bottom to get there first). He said a lot of people accidentally overfeed the tank and cause Nitrate problems trying to make sure the Corys are eating.
