Feeding Bristnose Pleco

I'm probably just overreacting but I need some assurance that what I'm doing is right So I just got a new bristlenose pleco 3 days ago and it's currently in a 10 gallon quarantine tank just to be safe before I add it to my 75 gal. My "problem" (maybe) is that it's only eaten the algae from the tank for the past few days (nothing terrible, just some that was growing on a decoration). I've offered algae wafers and currently have zucchinI in the tank along with a little piece of driftwood and he hasn't touched any of it. Like I said, I'm probably overreacting, but I've never had a pleco and wanted to make sure this is okay.

They take some time to figure out some things are food, shrimp pellets normally are a favorite of my plecos - the higher protein won't hurt them, but keep trying other foods.

Don't worry. It took a few weeks for my current bristlenose to start eating anything but algae. Now he eats algae wafers and vegetables but still doesn't understand frozen foods or pellets.

Mine wouldn't touch the algae wafers until one of my corys started eating it, then she was all "Wait, that's good? Then it's mine!" and now won't let anyone else near the algae wafers.

My pleco was like that the first week as well. Eventually she started loving cucumber (her little obsession), now quiet happy eats the wafers too. She loves them so much that she chases the Cory’s around so she can eat them all. Selfish one she is. Give it time, it will be ok!
