Feed variety

Dillan Murphy

I tried to feed my fish some variety, but they won't touch the freeze dried blood worms. Should I mix the blood worms in with the flake food I feed, or try something else?

Can try that, might work. Or get some that are frozen instead of freeze-dried.

You could certainly try that, but soaking it first would be helpful as well as healthier. I find frozen blood worms to be a treat that no fish in my tanks can resist.

Are you soaking the freeze dried worms in tank water to soften them up? You could try frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp.

Maybe they haven't realized it's food yet.

I have had less luck with freeze dried, both blood worms and brine shrimp (except blood parrots, who would eat cheetos if I put it in there). Frozen foods seem to be more appetizing for them and also have the appearance of live food when they fall into the tank.

Frozen Bloodworms or astonishing on equal level frozen Spirulina Brineshrimp, both seem to be the favorites

I buy 3 packages of frozen bloodworms at a time, am on the 2nd row of the last one and getting nervous, need to get to the store soon! I love the excitement in my tanks when I give it to them.

What fish do you have? You could try feeding them veggies.
