which is your favorite sports car? I like ford mustang; but I don't have a sports car, I have a motorcycle.

I like Ferrari. There are only 2 in my city(I think they are Ferraris) and I know one of the owners.

My mom has a Mustang convertible. I hate riding in it because I usually end up feeling car sick.

 

My sister has a mustang. Nice car, but, can't have the same thing she has, so I voted Ferrari. But, my actual favorite isn't on there. It's the Dodge Viper. There is actually a new one that I drool over, but, don't know the name. I know its lik $1.5 mil. It has these nifty little gadgets that pull out when you need to slow down to TWO HUNDRED miles per hour so you can start using the breaks.... I'm quivering with excitement just saying it! Someday someone will give me one of those.... sigh!

 

None of those....My favorite is the Lamborghin Countach Quattrovalvole LP500S

LoL, now you're sounding as "profound" as my father. He's going from a v something-rather Honda to a crotch rocket. I can't see him in that. Its bad enough he's having a midlife crisis and started riding a motorcycle, now he wants more speed. Crazy old fool! He's had more tickets in the past year than in his driving lifetime! And its especially crazy when you consider he hadn't ridden so much as a bicycle in decades!

LoL, I SO agree. Most biker will just start to argue that you can just as easily be killed in a car. And accidents do happen, however, I'm OK with the Idea that insurance companies agree with us lol. I had to ride on the back of a bike before. I was so tense in trying to hold on tightly that I was hurting for a week! I just like that added protection of being surrounded by something harder than my legs and denser than my head!

 

ROFL, y'all are killing me here. Talking about ultimate muscle cars (notoriously some of the most unsafe vehicles ever made) to how unsafe bikes are. Yes there is danger on a bike, but it is less dangerous than my job, and far more rewarding. Explaining the sensation and allure of riding to a non rider is like, well, uh explaining becoming attached to your aquarium fish to a bird person...

well, let's face it.. you go from 200 to 0 in under a second and you're not going to be smiling, no matter what you're in.. but at regular speeds, driving around the city, things like side curtain air bags and the other safety features mean a lot more people walk away from car wrecks than bike wrecks.

 

I didn't vote because my favs not on there. No suprise though. I'm kind of a simple guy, all I want is a Mazda RX8. Nothing too fancy. I'm just intrigued with the rotary engine, 9000 RPM redline and one moving part. Sounds cool. lol

Love Ferrari's - wish someday in life I'll be able to afford a used one. I can dream right?
But I definitely love the medium grade sports cars like Mustang Cobras, Vipers, and Corvettes.

Right now I'm lower down on the sports car ladder but I'm going to move up soon - I drive a 2006 Acura RSX Type-S. 210hp stock. Its a quick little 4-banger. Works fine for doing some fun spirited driving but I can't wait to upgrade to an eventual BMW 335I in the future.

Since you're such a sport car freak, do you know the Make and Model of that one $1.5mil sports car that has these nifty little gadgets that pull out to slow the car down to 200MPH so you can start using the breaks? I love the look, but, I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

They are nice things to look at. When I lived in Phoenix, I worked in Scottsdale so I got to see Bentleys, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, etc etc every day. The "cheaper" cars you saw were Mercedes and, my fav, BMW's. Of course, I only drove a Dodge so I was the freak on the road! lol

 

Haha. Ya its a fun little term to describe speeding around lol.

Umm not sure what car that is. I know some sports cars have wings that raise up on the car when it goes over a certain speed. The Porsche Carrera GT and the BugattI Veyron both do that. Not really sure what car has parts that raise to create drag and slow it down.
