Favorite Places - Where Have You Been?

Just wondering what are your favorite places & where you've traveled to. I've been to West Virginia (30 minutes away from my house), Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Key West, California, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and maybe a few other places. I love Tennessee and Florida, they're probably my two favorites in the states.

Outside of the U.S. I've been to the Bahamas & Cuba. This summer I will be going to St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados, which I am VERY excited for. The Bahamas weren't really that great, I did love the Disney island, Castaway Cay, but it was Disney so it was obviously nice and not like the actual islands. Cuba was fascinating though very different.

So, where have you been? What were your favorite places?

Dresden, Germany. My brother lived there for a few years. It’s an amazing city. I tend to get very anxious in cities, but I truly enjoyed exploring on my own while he was at work, going to puppet museums and eating delicious food. Plus, the Slaughterhouse V is right outside the city. It was really cool to see it in person. There’s a lot of history in the city.

My boyfriend has a house out in West Virginia. I love going there! It’s so beautiful.

Philly is one of my favorite cities, too. It’s close enough to make a good day trip. The Mutter Museum is a kick.

Various small towns in southern France

Oh I am so jealous. I want to go to Spain so so bad. My sister just went on a trip this past summer and lived with someone in Spain for two weeks

I can hardly say I've even beenead:. I only stayed overnight, but I did loads of stuff in that time. I went to parc güell, Camp nou (go Barça), Sagrada Familia & some other places that were super cool. Also my first Dunkin' Donuts experience.

I spent a winter down in Mexico studying ecology. My favorite places there are Lake Pátzcuaro, Michoacán (where a governor's wife once introduced some waterlilies that spread out of control, then tried to introduce manatee to eat all the waterlilies. In a mountain lake, in one of the places in Mexico that actually gets snow in the winter >_<), and this beach in Jalisco outside of a tiny dot on the map called Chamela (we were at La Estación de Biologia Chamela), where I stood one night in a calm, nearly waveless inlet as the night sky reflected on the water and diatoms fluoresced around me, and swam in the stars, Single most magical and romantic night of my life <3

Also loved snorkeling in Maui--I could have stayed underwater the rest of my life...but wearing a bikinI and being face-down staring at fish for two hours lead to being unable to sit down for the next two days >_<

Locally, it's the coast of California off Big Sur, and the Hoh Rain Forest. I'm still trying to make it off the North American Continent (beyond the Hawai'ian Islands)

I have been a few different places, but I fell in love with Maine. My husband and I spent some time there on our honeymoon, on moosehead lake. We loved it. The wilderness, the fresh lobster just everything about it!!!!

Out of all the places I’ve been, Costa Rica takes home the prize by a long shot. It’s absolutely amazing there.

I've been to every state besides Alaska and Hawaii. The Oregon coastline was one of my fav spots. Utah is amazing because of how diverse it is. From the quintessential Western desert in southern Utah to the snowy mountains in the north. But my most favorite of all is where I live now and have lived for 10 years now in Vail, Colorado. You could spend a lifetime exploring the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

That's amazing! I can't imagine visiting every state

EDIT: Yep, forgot UK and Canada. Prolly some more will come to me. I prefer the warmer latitudes but some of the northern ones were nice too.
