Favorite Algae Waffers?

I have a tiny bn plec and a tiger snail that just are not interested in the algae waffers I have. I'm not too worried about it bc I still have some algae in the tank they are still cleaning up on but when I looked at the ingredients of my wardley algae discs, I'm starting to think I got them garbage and I realized that there was copper in the disc. Didn't seem to bother my snail, just everything in my tank avoided it like a plauge. But when I put tetra shrimp waffers in there, everyone goes nuts. The pleco even comes out of hiding for the feeding frenzy and sits next to it devouring any thing that breaks off from what the other fish tears appart. I know that algae meal is listed as an ingredient of the shrimp waffers, but I'd rather have an actual algae waffers for them...or is shrimp waffer an ok thing to give the bn every night (if I can stay up long enough for the fish to fall asleep, he usually gets the shrimp waffers to himself. But if it's during the day, he has to share ) I'll post a pic of the wardley brand and it ingredients if anyone is curious.

I personally don't like the taste of any of them. Lol. I think some manufacturers miss the mark when it comes to pleco/snail food. Both need more then just algae in their diets. They probably prefer the shrimp wafers since it might be more meaty.

vitalis pleco pellets for my bn. they stay kinda soft and are too big for the shrimp to carry off.

I use HikarI Algae wafers for my Otos but they are not overly fond of wafers in general. They are full blown zucchinI addicts though.

.....what do you mean YOU don't like the taste of them? So far I to like to give him shrimp waffers bc he likes it...and it actually does have algae in the ingredients, I just know know if it's enough to supplement him with.

I don't have any shrimp. But I do have a sneaky angelfish that catches and hides food from the red wag platys I'd like to keep to waffer size bc he doesn't carry those away. He might when he gets bigger but for now the angel is still tiny. How big are the pellets?

My mystery snails prefer Tetra pleco wafers. They don't cloud the water, and work great!

I use HikarI Bottom Feeder Wafers. They're smaller so I distribute a few around the tank. Everything loves them... my bn pleco, corydoras, Amano shrimp, and mystery snail all eat them.

I use those too. My corys and amano shrimp devour them!
