Fat little otos

I bought some more otos the other day, taking the count up to 8 in the 55 gallon. so far, only 1 has died. (yay!) so now the other 7 are swimming happily and my tank is getting slowly cleaner. anyway, a couple of my otos have pretty round bellies. do you think this is just a happy full tummy or could they be pregnant? we've been getting rid of any egg sacs we can find since we're currently waging a war on pond snails in that tank, but I don't want to mistakenly throw out oto eggs if they come. tell me what you think (remember that I never claimed to be a photographer):

if there's any doubts, you could always transfer the eggs to a container and let them hatch, then toss any snails that hatch.

 

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of that.
