Family

Wow, I am feeling all philosoraptor-y tonight.

So, my personal belief is that you have two families in life.
The one you are born into, and the one you gather around you as you go thru life.

Your project, class, is to discuss.

All my good friends moms I call my moms too lol I have so many moms @.@ I'm more comfortable around my 'adoptive' family then I am around my actual family. I guess I just like my friends better!

Oh I totally agree!

I was once told because I was an only child I made up for it by gathering a large assimilated family. Yes we are Borg. Resistance is futile!

My husband is one of eight. Nice start huh?
Then the children came along and they aquired friends who on any given weekend night would play games until the lay down in the floor and slept while someone else took a turn . I never knew how many would be there the next morning
Most of those are grown and married now with children of their own and still call us mom and dad.

There are those who have interests that are similar to ours and those interests have become passions that are irrestible(books, fish and cooking etc ) and their families become our families . Great love and respect build in those instances and they become family too.
I truly believe those families that we choose are as special to us as the one we're born into.
