hmmm according to this calculator http://spec-tanks.com/ammonia-calculator-aquariums/ 9ml of ammonia in 55 gallons is about 4.3ppm....

So I guess it is possible your filters processed around 2.3ppm in 18 hours leaving 2.00ppm (which is quite possible for established filters) but they may not have a big enough colony as yet to process the entire load presented. I've not done a fishless cycle but something tells me that the nitrate levels seem to be way higher than they should be for the amount of ammonia processed. I'll leave that for someone experienced in fishless cycles, to comment on.
