Are prime, API stress coat and API stress zyme similar products? I use prime after my water changes but recently have been experiencing a little bit of a cloudy situation ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 20...planning on doing a 25% water change tonight ...I've heard mixed reviews about API stress zyme that it helps to add BB but if my tank is experiencing a bacteria bloom adding that would probably be defeating the purpose?...should I stick with checking my parameters and doing my usual water changes and let nature takes its course as I've also heard from researching...thanks!!! PS the color of the cloudiness is more or less on the white side not green from algae or gray from over feeding..

Nothing beats Seachem Prime, just stick the course and keep doing what your doing.

Not the same

Prime is a(n excellent) complete water TREATMENT conditioner (neutralizes the dangerous stuff, put simply)
API Stress Coat is a very diluted water treatment that is readily available to most US aquarists
API Stress Zyme is an additive for your tank (mostly unnecessary, does not make water "safe" for fish)

Good deal...I always prefer the natural way rather than adding all the chemicals and finding out they didn't do anything other than wear on my fishes ...one last thing I've seen posts about a UV apparatus..can't remember the real name ..has anyone used them...and if they were used do they stay in the tank for good or just to help clear up the water..cuz they look big and bulky and seems would take quite a bit of space up in my 55

No personal experience. Just a link to some short info (designed to sell them, lol) I don't get any money from that link fwiw

I'm pretty sure Stress Coat also dechlorinates water, just not as concentrated as Prime. The added aloe vera seems interesting. My local Petsmart adds a squirt to the bag prior to sealing it.
