So most of yall already know just from title. Came home to my 30 gallon eel tank empty. Front pane broke. Why idk no sighns of anything falling into it. Only thought is from the amount of rain we got from matthew that the house settle just right to torque Iit enough to bust the pane. I lost another eel. The other eel and clown pleco were still alive on sand. No water at all. I threw them in my snail breeder tank and got the carpet cleaner to start sucking up water 4 hrs later still wet but fans and heaters running. Hopefully I can make it home, so I can remove carpet and access the damage to subfloor. Looks like my projects are on stand still until this is resolved. I will most likely remodel this area of the house...

Ugh I'm so sorry that happened to you and sorry for your poor eel. I hope the damage to your floors isn't too horrible. I had no idea that a tank could break that way.

Well pulled the carpet, sub floors still wet. Since I live in a dbl wide and materials used are sub par at best (even though this is supposedly "top of the line") I have a cpl sheets that may need replaced. Cant believe home manufactures use mdf as subfloors. Once its all dry ill see what needs replaced.

I have an area that's slightly sunkin in. Looks like that caused the tank pressure that busted it.
