well I now know with certainty that crayfish are escape artists ;D I rearranged the tankscape to add some new caves and overhangs set some more plastic plants and everything went just fine 8) everyone was happy and I was deciding an what fish would finish off the look of my tank got up the next morning and stopped by my tank to say "hi" no Dud-a-chum (the crayfish) since I had some crabs years ago that were escape artist too I was prepared for the search at hand :-\ but I have cats so I was not optimistic :-[ but after a couple of hours in search I found my critter ;D but he only has half the length of his antennae left and doesn't seem to be happy about it at all :-[ I hope it was a lesson he'll remember but I doubt it I rearranged the caves and such and reworked my plants by attaching them to the stones that make up the caves I figure that Dud-a-chum shimmied up the return tube for the filter using the plants that I thought would hide it I know better now anyone with clawed critters should be warned have fun Lee
