Equipment for 75 Gallon Aquarium

Looking for equipment recommendations for a 75 Gallon Aquarium.

I've never had a tank this size before, so all of the equipment requirements are going to be a little new to me.

Filters
-----------
Are two HOB filters a viable option?
Are canister filters better for a tank this size?
If I had a canister filter, would one be enough for the tank? Or would I use a canister and a HOB in combination? How big of a filter for this size tank?

Lighting
-------------
I plan to have plants, but nothing too advanced as I really don't plan to have CO2 on this tank.
What lighting would work? I know Finnex is the brand most recommended.
Would only one light be enough? I read that being a deeper tank, only one light might not be enough.

Heater
-----------

I plan to have two heaters in this tank. I'm guessing that is a good idea. Correct me if I'm wrong.
How many watts or what size?

I just purchased my first 75 gallon tank today and came on to post the same questions, so I will be watching the responses too!

I have the 75 gallon as well.

I use a fluval canister 406 will add another later when heavily planted if needed. Canister is much much quieter for me as the HOB were annoying in my last 75 gallon a number of years ago.

I went with the finnex 24/7 48" light as I will be a low to med planted setup without co2. I do plan to flourish, Excell, iron, and carbon also.

For heater I use one 300 watt aqueon, in sure you could go with two 250 watt instead for redundancy.

Also, I ordered the 25'siphon with sink attachment to assist in water changes, much better than the 5 gallon pail I did in the past. Set temp at the sink and refill after siphon without changing anything. Great idea!

What's the pros and cons to having a Canister filter as opposed to a HOB other then noise?

I'd recommend using both types of filters canisters and hob. Over filtration is always better. I have always liked acqua clear hob's.

The noise alone is enough for me to no longer use the HOB plus I don't like them all built up with residue etc,. Canister is so much nicer in my case.
