Enriching A Betta's Life

Do you know of ways to enrich a betta's life? I know of two ways to entertain my betta, László.

I have a colorful card that he likes to look at. If I move it around, he dances with it.

And I can get him mystery snails. He loves to bite off their eyes and antennae, then worry them to death. (Well, I don't really know how he killed them, but he did.)

Of course I'm kidding about getting him more mystery snails!

Do you know of anything I can do?

(His tank's just five gallons, so I'm limited as to space.)

Giving him live foods to hunt will keep him occupied with something to do. Having him flare once in a while for a few minutes is another way to keep him entertained. Also adding some sort of winding decoration gives him something to explore.

Winding decoration? I don't know what this would be. I Googled it, then went to Amazon, and I couldn't find such a thing. Can you describe this winding thing, or post a picture, please?

I meant the term winding as in twisting. So some sort of twisting decoration for him to weave around. Sorry that I confused you.

I especially recommend live foods to hunt as it copies their surroundings if they were in the wild! Just don’t put too much because they can cause ammonia spikes if the uneaten ones die. I also recommend trying to put a mirror near it sometimes!
