Emptying my hospital tank

Hey guys I had a quick question for you all! I currently have two small angelfish in my 35 gallon makeshift hospital tank I also had a Molly in there that was trying to recover from bad water quality that I completely caused. However, I corrected the water and was doing water changes every other day to ensure pristine water and it worked ammonia was at 0 nitrite 0 and nitrate under 10 ppm. Once the levels were normal again I added small angelfish into this tank after noticing they had fin rot pretty bad, I kept up with the water changes and the levels always stayed the same. However just yesterday I found my Molly had passed away while I was at work, now the ammonia has gone up to .25 and I'm curious if I should just transfer them both into my 55 gallon which is almost done cycling or just leave them in the 35 and keep doing water changes and dose with prime? Thank you for any suggestions!

I'm a little confused. So, are you fishless cycling the 55g? Are you treating the 2 small angelfish for anything? And was the angelfish with fin rot a new purchase? If so, I wouldn't have added anything else to the tank until you were able to move the current inhabitants over to your 55g.

Sorry for the confusing post! The only inhabitants of the 35 are now the two minI angels, they used to be with the Molly before he passed away. The 55 is cycling at the moment and just has to process out the last of my nitrites, which is being very stubborn lol. But back to the minI angels they still have fin rot and I'm still changing the water every other day to keep everything down but after the Molly died there was a little ammonia spike that soon was processed into nitrites. Which in turn somewhat answers my question. I was just concerned that the ammonia wouldn't be processed as quickly as it was and the fish would be adversely effected but all the levels are back to normal. So I'm going to leave them in there until they are fully healed and ready to be moved into the 55.

How are you cycling the 55 and what are your current parameters?

So the two angels and Molly were in the 55 originally? Sorry if I'm not getting it right.

The 55 is a fish in cycle and I'm dosing with prime and stability daily, parameters are ammonia 0 nitrites .5(I think) and nitrates 10. The reason why there are nitrates is because I used 2 pieces of seeded media but it wasn't enough to instantly cycle it. And no the minI Angels and Molly were only in the 35. It's fine I'm just thankful someone responded!

2 bigger Angels, 5 tetra and 2 Molly plus some shrimp and snails. However, one of the smaller Angels passed away today so I'm gonna move the one remaining small one into the 55 gallon. I'm also going to just take apart my 35, should I move one of the filters over to help with the cycling? I know it's not advisable to keep Angels in groups of three but until the little one heals and I can take him to a LFS for credit he'll have to be okay in there.

I'd keep the angel in the 35 until it heals. You don't want it to introduce the fin rot to your main tank. Once it gets better, you could rehome it then.
