Emerald Entree For Nerites?

I tried doing a bit of research on my own but I couldn't find anything. So I am coming here!
I have a 20 gal with one hyper/semi-aggressive betta and twelve nerite snails. I have tried snello, it clouded my water too much. I have tried veggies, only a few ate off of it. So now I am looking into frozen foods for them. I had seen one called Emerald Entree by San Francisco Bay Brand and was wondering if this would work with the betta in the tank. If he ate off of it, would it constipate him? If it does, how could I feed it to my snails?
I also plan on switching his diet from freeze dried food and pellets to the Freshwater Frenzy by San Francisco Bay Brand and pellets. Idk if that matters or not with the question.

I haven't ever had any luck with my nerites eating any food (other than their cleaning/grazing). Wafers, repashy soilent green, veggies, algae sheets.... none of those worked for me.

What I have had luck with is bacter ae, and playing with my light cycle. The bacter ae seemed to "tide them over" until I could get my lighting right for just enough algae growth. I've also heard of people using rocks that are put in a container in a window, for example, to get enough sunlight to grow algae on the rocks. Then, cycle the rocks through the tank; put one in the tank while the others "grow" in the window. I haven't ever done this, but seems like a viable option!

For the bacter ae, I mix it with tank water before putting it in the tank. This way, there are no chunks for the betta to eat.

I'm curious as to other people's answers. I'd love ideas on what they might eat!

I have never heard of this Bacter AE before! Reading up on it now. Also that rock idea is really smart, never would have thought about that.
I'm going to Petco or PetSmart tomorrow, if I find both freshwater frenzy and emerald entree, I will be buying both of them and testing it out. Why are nerites so not into other foods?! Makes me think they are starving even though they are always crusing around.

Let me know how both of those work... or not! LOL

I know, right?!

EDIT
I shouldve mentioned what bacter ae does. It's marketed for shrimp to increase biofilm.

Okay, got the food but not in the numbers I would like. Kinda wanted to buy the fish and snail food separately but I couldn't find it anywhere. So I got the variety pack with the frenzy, bloodworms, brine shrimp, and the entree. So I'm gonna mash up the frenzy, bloodworms, and shrimp all together and keep it frozen that way. Then just store the entree cubes normally, maybe cut them in half in case the snails don't like it.

I will be putting in the snail cube on Friday but I gave MK, Master Kohga (the betta), a small portion of the mash today. I actually saw some leafy green bits in there so I am hoping that will also keep him regular. But I do need to get better at portion control lol. He's a little chunky now, but I'm sure with all his swimming he will work it off, he is a plakat after all lol.
It took him a bit to realize it was food but the minute he knew, he was ON IT. I gave the leftovers I syringed out to my pest snail tank, have some tadpoles in there too that will be enjoying it.
One day he will be on nothing but pellets and frozen foods!

Cool! I'm guessing the green bits cane from the entree? Or does it come from the frenzy?

I can't wait for you to test it on the nerites!!!! I have a VA appt Friday, but I'll be checking as soon as I can to see if they showed any interest at all! Do you plan on physically moving them (or any) close to the food or just wait and see if they find it?

I think it might be from the frenzy. They don't label the cubes so I had to melt pieces of each one to see what they had in them lol.
I think I may move my oldest snail to the pile, maybe a few of the smaller ones too. Idk, for some reason I am picturing elephants and if the oldest likes something then the rest knows it's good lol. Heck, I may end up moving them all by the entree, trying to train the fish to go into one log to eat his food so he doesn't try the snail stuff at the bottom. Though he has taken a bite out of a zucchinI and snello, he never kept eating it. So I am hoping that he thinks any big "rock" at the bottom of the tank isn't food.

I just woke up actually lol
After breakfast and a few chores I will hopefully have time to put it in. I have a friend coming over to hang out today and I don't know if I should wait for her so she can watch (she has a few nerites).

So I put it in and placed Zeb on it. He got off but hasn't left the area that it is in...I may leave it in there today just to see if anymore find it and decide to try it..

OKAY WELL. The fish found one of the worm looking foods in it and ate it, almost choked on the dang thing! So I took out the cube. Zeb did look like he was tasting it though...
EDIT: I may try again later, I have a small transport tank that I rarely use. I'll get a fresh cube, pick out as many snails as I can, and put them in the container with the cube. Hopefully some of them eat it. If they don't I will continue my search and maybe try that biofilm stuff you talked about. Plus my betta has enough frozen food to last his lifetime so I won't have to buy another multipack for a while.

Hopefully some of them eat it.

Well, darn, test 1 not successful. Nerites just love their algae!!!!! Maybe next test will get a better response.

Plus my betta has enough frozen food to last his lifetime

Silver lining and all, right?!

Have you started algae rocks yet?

Haven't started the rocks yet. I think a few nerites ate some of the frozen food but not enough for me to justify it. Just one more thing to check off on a long list of trial and error lol
