A couple weeks ago when I moved my fish into my new cycled tank I added 2 juliI cories and another emerald cory to join my existing emerald cory and 3 white skirt tetra. However, since i've done this my emerald cory seems very withdrawn and I don't think I've seen either bronze cory swim much or eat. They don't seem happy and my parameters seem to be good. Ammonia vacillates between .25 ppm and 0 depending on when I check it (before or after water changes) and nitrites is always at zero. Nitrates is between 5-10 ppm. Temperature is 75-77 Fahrenheit.
He is a little fat and I wonder if he's just overweight and not hungry. I did start trying to feed him better when I moved into the new tank, specifically shrimp pellets instead of generic flakes. I crush them up and sprinkle them into the tank. The tank is half sand and half gravel.
The JuliI Cories seem happy and I wonder if it's just the behavior of a different species. I also know I need to get them more buddies to feel more comfortable but he was alone before and very happy.
