I was wondering if you can keep electric yellow chiclids with other tropical fish(non-chiclids) like you can with angelfish???

Electric yellows are Labidochromis caeruleus. Go back to that chart with the scientific name and find what's compatible. Do a google search on each scientific name that's compatible in another window, and you will learn a ton while you're picking your fish. I'm not real familiar with the scientific names or african cichlids in general, but there are a whole lot of them are so colorful!

I eventually got round to looking into it and bought an electric yellow. He looks stunning and I think I'll get a mate for him. He doesn't mind the other fish but they seem to mind him alot. My angels are acting very aggressive towards anythink lately. I think he is starting to settle in and doesn't even mind tetras as he is mostly a vegetarian but will eat other meaty foods etc. He really adds that flaash of colour!

Watch him close. The general rule is you don't mix african cichlids from South American cichlids. Africans are usually pretty aggressive especially when breeding, so you may have to move him out of your angel tank.

Ive been watching him but my angels are like 3 times the size of him and right now he's getting down by everyone. I'm worried about his health.
