Eheim factory reset possible?

Just to know I've read the posts on calibrating. Because I had a digital thermometer problem and not realizing it, I messed with my 200w Eheim dials too much. It's in a 60 gal tank.

I was wondering if there was a factory reset so I can start fresh to set temp? I've had the heater 2yrs. Now I have a couple glass thermometers plus a new digital in the tank. Thermometers are registering 82-83F. I want it no higher than 80F.

I've tried to calibrate a few times; put heater in tank for 10 mins and plug in. The light comes on and stays on. So obviously set wrong.

I actually went a bought a Fluval 200 after I couldn't calibrate Eheim. Set at 78F. Tank is 82F. Fluval light keeps coming on for awhile, then off. It's like it's keeping temp at 82. I thought the light wouldn't come on at all it tank was over temp set?

Getting frustrated.

Try setting the heater at 76 or 75 or so. Many heaters are like that. Usually good once you get it figured out.

That's not the way to calibrate :

I don't calibrate my Eheim heater. I just turn it up or down to get the temp I want. I don't care what the dial says as long as the water temp is correct.

I never got mine to calibrate either. I watched 800 videos and my heater never did what they said it would. Mine sat in a 5g bucket for a week turning it up and down to get the temp I wanted. You turned it just a nudge and it went up 4 points.

It is so far my most reliable temp heater I have right now. I just hate the industrial size cord on the thing. :p

My Cobalt heater has been really great too.

Same for me. Excellent heater, but it's huge and hard to hide in the tank. And yes, the cord is rather industrial compared to other heaters I've used. This can make hiding the cord difficult as well.

Or bending it to go in the tank....lol Overkill for sure.
