Egg-Bound Betta needing help!

Hey guys, I’ve had Betty my female koi betta since this past fall (she was 3 monthsish when I got her.) She grew up in my 30 gal community tank and it was great until she got a little older and started bullying some of the little guys and possibly wiped out a few shrimp//: So now she’s had her own 10 gal tank w/ a mystery snail and a dwarf clown plecostomas (her bffs) since January. Water conditions are great. However, Betty has been bloated for over a month now. I have not been over feeding her (much easier to control in smaller tank), I initially thought she may just be constipated like I’ve seen in a couple tetra before this doesn’t appear to be the case as I’ve been adding fiber to her diet with Daphnia and inside of a pee. I’ve tried fasting for a few days, nothing has changed. From what I’ve researched it seems that Betty is egg-bound, I have also seen a few eggs come out of her the past few days. I’m really worried because I’ve read that if a Betta doesn’t lay all of her eggs it can cause egg binding which can cause internal infections that usually lead to death.... I’ve read that in some cases massaging the betta can help release the eggs, but there’s not a ton of success stories from what I can tell and can be really stressful for the fishy! Has anyone experienced this? I don’t know how to help Betty)):

Also her behavior has been fine, she is very active, good appetite etc.

It doesn’t look like it from the pic but if you look at her from above do her scales seem to be lifting into a pinecone like shape? If so it might be dropsy but I doubt it
Also Try fasting her for 3-4 days meaning don’t feed her. I know it’s hard but she can go a few days without eating

I have fasted her for 3-4 days//: and I know it’s 1000% not dropsy, she’s been bloated too long for that (dropsy usually kills within 20-40 days) and shows none of the side effects associated with that including raised scales. She doesn’t seem to be distressed but I really think she needs to lay all the eggs): thanks for input!!

Hmm where you do think the eggs came from? Do you have another betta?

No it’s only her, I’ve read this can happen even if bettas aren’t around other bettas/: and not to sound gross but I literally watched a little white egg come out of her egg hole hahah since there is no male to take the egg to a bubble nest they just sink to the bottom of the tank, but it seems that she just won’t lay all of them!

Do you have access to any daphnia? Pretty sure that helps flush out eggs from eggbound bettas

I only have access to dry daphnia at the moment, there aren’t a ton of fish stores where I live unfortunately//: I may buy some of the frozen daphnia online (I feed my fish frozen foods already), but the shipping is just alotta $$$$$ but I’ll do it if it’ll help Betty)): I’ve been giving her blanched de-shelled pees which she eats up surprisingly

Hey Ally, I have a girl having the same problem as Betty, were you able to get her to drop the eggs? If so how?
