Effect on bioload?

I have 1 ghost shrimp in my 28g hex tank, and I would love to get 1 or 2 more. Do they effect the bioload much? I am already slightly overstocked (according to aquadvisor) but I have excellent filtration and am keeping on top of the water chemistry.
I have: 4 red wag platies, 5 juliI cories, 1 black mystery snail, 4 glofish and 2 long fin zebra danios.
Could I get 1 or 2 more shrimp? He is so cute to watch!

IMO you are not overstocked other than danios like to be in bigger schools. But you wouldnt have the swim space to add more. I also think you could have a few more shrimp They don't have a huge bioload and would probably be fun to watch by adding more!

Will my danios start schooling? I just got them yesterday, but no sign of schooling yet....

Ken answered in your other post here If it were me, id actually return the danios (they like bigger schools) and get some more glofish. They would do better in the hex tank also

Thanks, I will check the other post (didn't mean to cross-post, but since you had mentioned the danios...) I thought the danios and glofish would school together...

Soory, but the biggest chane is they wont, fish can tell the difference in eachother, even white skirt tetras and blackskirt tetras. your shrimp will have an impact, but not a big one, like adding another dirty fish like a goldfish. Goldfish produce a lot of bioload.

Glofish are genetically modified danio rerio, modified to kind of glow in the half dark and to be more colorful by daylight. I assure you they cannot tell the difference between glofish and other danio rerio. Mine school together and do not make any distinction amongst eachother. Now if those danios are not danio rerio but another species of danio, that could be different. Although I have even read of people whose danio rerio chose to school with danio frankei.

Edit: However, the question is whether a 28hex is large enough for a school of danios period. They are very active fish that need a lot of space to chase, and a hex is more tall than long. If I were you I would carefully observe your fish, and if you observe trouble then have a backup plan.

Edit 2: Note that danios are not a tightly schooling fish. Mine only really school all together when they feel threatened, for example if a kid is too rumbunctious near the fish tank, also sometimes they may be several together and one apart, and as long as it is not always the same one that is not an issue. At other times each of my danios seems to be doing its own thing, for example right now as I watch them in the half dark, they are "patrolling" as I like to call it, which is their behavior late at night, cruising along slowly (well slower than usual anyway) each in a different part of the tank. In the morning they will chase each other and sometimes all get into a kerfluffle or whatever you call it when several fish almost try to occupy the same space. So most of the time they are not all moving together in formation, not like a flock of birds, but it is obvious that they all accept each other as part of one group/school/shoal.
