Hey guys I am building a 300 gallon Pond (6 feet in length 5 feet in width and 16 inch in depth
I'm gonna stock it with 6 Red Eared sliders (4 males and 2 rescued females)
20 mollies
20 guppies
20 Zebra danios
and 20 Tiger barbs
and Some Powder blue dwarf gourami for a Vallisneria field I'm going to create in the pond (They will be added after the Field establishes)
I want to ask what should I add first There is some hornwort duckweed and some Plants on land for the turtles and to remove nutrients
Edit I live in India the temps here are suitable to keep these guys all year around.

Oh the fish are there for the turtles to hunt Zebra danios and the Tiger barbs might escape not sure for the gourami hopefully the val and the hornwort might give cover
The end goal is for almost everything to breed and start an ecosystem so I dont have to feed for the most part( turtles might get some mealworms or calcium for mystery snails I feed) The fish will still get some food . Might even expand the pond by 100 gallons if needed
Might even add my pleco from my other pond to control algae a bit or add an A few demasoni (I use demasoni or Kenyi's for algae control on larger ponds rather than plecos but a pain to catch back though) might even add some hides for them so they can start a colony in the pond

Every single Dwarf Gourami sold in a fish store is male so unless you have access to wild caught fish (which you might since you live in Asia) it'll be very difficult to find a breeding pair.

I’ve seen, and have bought, a breeding pair from my LFS before. You just need a reputable supplier :)

JustaHobbyist the pond sounds like a super fun project, I’m jealous! Have you looked into paradise fish or white cloud minnows? They might be good fish to consider, as far as I know they’re hardy and work well in ponds. As for what fish to put in first, are you planning on doing a fish-in cycle, or fishless?

I would imagine the Gourami would be an easy target but who knows. Sounds like an interesting pond.
Add the Guppies and Mollies first. You'll want them to be breeding before the Turtles are added in my opinion. Tiger Barbs and Danios will also prey on the babies so add them later also.

This is only really the case in the States. Europe for example females are just as common as males.

Oh in india you dont get many species. Minnows might be an option but I dont live near any city which has demand for imports ,and paradise fish might be able to live in the climate but are not common , here plus there are also native predators like the kingfisher (part of the reason to build the pond i live in a city so they are rare to see) I might start a fish in cycle with 1 or 2 species together.
Oh btw, my cousin started one of these on a smaller scale (80 gallons) with only zebra danio's they bred like every other 2 weeks some of the spawn survived and still live in his pond. So I'm hoping that they will breed too.
