Eco complete without plants?

I've decided I'm not going to add plants to my new 20g due to the led lighting and don't have the budget to replace the hood right now.

However I love the look of eco complete substrate. Would it be okay to use eco complete without having plants? I figure the cories would like it better than gravel. Thanks!

Yes, it will be fine without plants. My cories have had no problems with eco-complete. I have a tank with Flourite and no plants at the moment due to yet another dead light :p
