Early Stages Of Bladder Snail Infestation

I recently discovered a bladder snail three days ago in my 20GH tank that's been decently planted and am looking for tips for staying on top of their levels and if possible, removing them. I have about 18 RCS in the tank and feed them 2-3 pellets twice a day, which my mystery snail will sometimes cleanup the leftovers up. I'm worried about bladder snails using this as a food source.

I've killed maybe 1-3 very small ones a day so far for the past two days and tried leaving a small piece of lettuce in the tank left with no luck. I was planning on getting pygmy or panda corys soon, but can't definitively find if they eat snail eggs. Do they? Any other tips?

You can try the zucchinI or vegetable trap.
Place a zucchinI on a fork, or anything to weigh it down, and pick it out when snails gather on it.
You should take out as many snails as you can when you see them, or get some assassin snails.

I was thinking of assassin snails and moving my mystery snail to my other 3G tank for the time being if the bladder snails start getting out of hand. I've tried the lettuce as I mentioned but had no success. I'll give it a shot with zucchinI next.

Try doing it in the morning when you’re awake to watch.

I just pick em out when I see em.

Never gets rid of all of them but keeps it manageable.

I do notice the heavier I feed, the more snails I have to remove.

Hello Bour...

Just remove and replace more tank water and do it weekly. Work up to half every week and include vacuuming the bottom material. A few snails isn't so bad, though. They help keep the tank clean, but they will add to the the waste in the tank. That's where the large, weekly water changes are effective. If you remove the food source, the snails won't overpopulate the tank.
