I'm going to be getting a foreground plant for my 55 gallon and I was wondering what plant would be easier to maintain, grows faster and easier to keep. I was thinking of getting both but we'll see lets hear your peoples opinions.

Depends on your lighting. Hair grass needs bright, Dwarf sag can deal with moderate.

ya I was pretty sure that the grass needed higher lighting and dwarf sag can deal with low lighting

I have dwarf sag in a 2.5 gallon with LEDs. I started with two plants, and I probably have eight or so now. It's fun to see the runners pop up in another spot of the tank, and so far they're doing a surprisingly good job of covering the tank evenly.

I have both. The dwarf sag does good under pretty much any light medium-low and up. The hairgrass is in a tank with low-medium light and it is healthy, but it isn't spreading very fast.
Either one would look great if you have the right conditions.

I've got Dwarf Hairgrass under medium-high light and its spreading slowly. I was just looking for foreground plant and not a carpet. I took 2 and divided into 4 clumps. But it dose need adequate light.
It needs bright light and planted in small clumps it spreads faster I've heard.
