Dwarf Puffers Tank Mates?

I was planning on getting 3 dwarf puffers for my 10 Gallon tank. I would love to have another fish or two in my tank if it's at all possible. What make good tank mates for puffers? Is there any way to figure out which puffers are less aggressive when I get them from my LFS?

I wouldn't add any fish to that tank with them. They'll attack many fish. The best fish to keep with them are otos, and otos need a 20 gal tank minimum.

I'd personally only do 2 in a tank that size. I tried keeping 3 in a 15 gal and they were too messy.

Thanks! I was really hoping to have my first tank ever to be a community tank but I don't want any other fish but dwarf puffers!!

I have successfully kept my 2 dwarves with 2 "freshwater" flounder. They have never nipped, or acted interested in them as food. The flounder are a lot of fun to watch. I've read mixed reviews on if they are truly a fw fish though...

I'd have to agree and say dwarf puffers will snack on most tankmates.. You'll soon see tiny bite marks on the other fish - not a great idea, sadly :c
