Hey my 38 gallon freshwater planted tank is cycling and I really want a dwarf gourami, I wanted to put some other fish in the tank with them but wasn't sure what ones. I was thinking about some black Molly's. Would this be a good idea?

1 Dwarf Gourami is fine with all live bearers that I know of.

    WELCOME to Fishlore!!!

What are the dimensions of the tank?

Mollies will work, just make sure they are all males!

Do you want any schooling or shoaling fish like tetras, rasboras, etc?
For bottom dwelling fish, would you like a shoal of kuhli loaches or corys?

You could do something like this?

    1x Dwarf gourami
2-3x Male mollies (get males; females will overrun you with fry)
    12-15x Neon tetras
    10x Panda cories
