Dwarf Gourami Changing Color

Hey fish lovers! My Dwarf Gourami is scaring me a bit. Since 4 days, on his skin near his head his blue is getting darker, almost black. It's been 6 months I have him, he was my first fish and never had problem with him. His behaviour did not change at all tho, he's still swimming like crazy when I'm near the tank near the glass looking happy that I'm here. Do you guys know if it's a bad sign or nothing to stress about?

The pictures are not so clear but you can see where it's darker.

That's actually not a Dwarf Gourami, looks more like a Paradise Gourami to me but I'm not 100%sure on that, I know its not a dwarf gourami though. I don't know much about paradise gourami but it could be stress related. What size tank is it in? What are you water parameters? Current stocking?

A paradise fish - the first non goldfish 'tropical' ever kept in tanks. It's a cold water species that tolerates ammonia like no other, but I would still offer a 25% change if you are worried.

I am 2 hours from you and my tanks are warming up - the fish may not like his temperature (but will adjust - temp range 6 to 32). when their water gets warmer, they can become aggressive, so keep an eye on things. He may even go into breeding mode, if indeed he is a he.

Oh okay, I was told it was a DG. 20G, stocking is fine, DG, 1 ADF, 5Guppies, 7Nerite Snails, 1 Bolivian ram. He does not look stressed. Water parameters 0 ammonia 0 nitrites 5-10 nitrate. I do water change ever week while vaccuuming gravel.

With an ADF in the tank, be prepared to lose fish, I don't like keeping the with fish.

Yeah temp always go up and down, can't do much about that... That might be the problem! He ain't aggressive tho, and does not look stressed. And yes he is a male.

It's been 5months he's in the tank. Never had problems, he's not aggressive at all, I bought one that was agressive, went back to the store and get another one and that one has never touch any of my fishes. I think it's more about the personnality of the fish/amphibian. Everyone told me that a gourami with guppies would kill themselves, but it never happened to me..
