Dwarf Gourami being a bully

So i have a 15 gal tank with a dwarf gourami, some guppies, danios, neon tetras, oto catfish. The dwarf gourami doesnt really like the flake food and he prefers the algae eater wafers. Anytime another fish gets near him or his wafer he tries to nip and gets super territorial. How do i stop this? Adding more wafers will just dirty the tank. Is there another fish i can add that will keep him in line? (Someone told me gouramis in pairs will calm each other?)

Dwarf gourami are just a very aggressive fish in general. Although, it seems like it could be stressed out from the amount of fish you have in the tank. If each fish you have listed has the minimum amount for a school, then your tank would be severely overstocked which could make the gourami feel the need to hoard its food and get aggressive.
Can you provide specifics for the amount of fish you have?
Also, what are your water parameters?

The water was tested at a fish specialist store and they said its fine. Its 2 neon tetras, 2 tiger endler guppies, 2 small danios, 3 oto catfish

Ok, the tank isn't overstocked but, I would try to get proper schools of at least 6 of the danios, kotos, and neons. Also, I would choose either the neons or the danios because a 15 gal would be too small for that.
Could you provide a picture of the tank? Sometimes gourami can get aggressive if there isn't enough cover in the tank.

Isn't it simply natural behaviour for certain fish to try to get the biggest share of food. It hasn't anything to do with being territorial. If it chases and "try to nip" you can't say it is a bully.

You could try feeing the wafers for the ottos once the lights are out.

The gourami would then hopefully be more asleep and would associate the flake food as his main meal.

It may be worth trying some different foods like slow sinking pellets or bites that he may prefer but isn't big like a wafer he will defend.

I had similar problems with angelfish.

update: the gourami adapted better with time, then anither fish started bullying him and some others, so the bully was rehomed and they seem fine now
