DONT!!! They fight each other.I once saw a betta at petsmart with 30 gouramis. Fins ripped, flaring and stressed! I screamed at the employee and told her to take it out. She said later and i showed her what was happening and she took it out right away. DO NOT

maybe if you have a massive tank

Still wouldn't risk it, if they met each other could not be fun.

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend it. I have seen them kept together in a pet store before but the Bettas fins were all tattered and it didn’t look good at all

@david1978 what do you keep with your betta in that 75 again

    2 male betta
    13 girl betta
    12 glowlight tetras
    9 emerald cories
    1 pleco.
I had a dwarf gouromi for a short time but he just didn't seem like a good fit.

I have 2 honey gouramis and a betta and they get on fine they actually ignore each other.

Out of curiosity, is it a female betta? And what sized tank?
  15. Lorraine.KellyValued MemberMember

    It’s a male betta and it’s 190 litre tank

Bettas and Gouramis are both from the suborder 'Anabantoidei' - putting them together would effectively be the equivalent of putting two Bettas together.
