Hello! Similar question to my last, but I'd like to focus on the cichlids. Always wanted them. Any kind that you guys can suggest for my current tank? Currently, I have my 5 Colombian Tetras, and the Platy and Guppy, both males (done with livebearers after they pass). Thanks again! You guys are seriously great.

    Hi there,
You could go for a single Apistogramma Cacatuoides or Bolivian Ram.

Both require similar water parameters as your other fish and they should do fine with them.

Also, I would consider upping the Colombian Tetra numbers to 7-8

Your stocking should look like this:
    6-8 Colombian Tetras
    1 Platy
    1 Guppy
1 Bolivian Ram OR Apistogramma Cacatuiodes

Another possibility would be an Apistogramma Borelli - beautiful fish!

Thanks guys! Both seem like great fish. I'll probably go out to another new LFS today (My old one closed recently).

Will for sure. Random question, but if I remove the guppy and platy, do you think I could have either two of the apistos? Either a pair of the same kind, or one of each. New with dwarf cichlids, still trying to learn about them.

You could do a pair, yes.

Thanks. I think I'll go for a pair of the Cacatuoides, but you never know. My dad has an old 10 gallon that I could move the guppy and the platy to, but I'm not sure yet.
