Just a tip: make sure you have a cave you can remove for the gudgeon fry. Dad has a tendency to eat the eggs halfway through, so what i did was remove the cave from the tank after about 5 days or so and ran an airstone in the cave to simulate the fanning of the eggs. Had a pretty high hatch rate so far.
That is an excellent suggestion. I do have a cave in there that I can remove without issues but there are a few other natural caves amongst the hardscape that they seem to like better. If they pick a reasonable spot then I will for sure try this
