Drs. Foster and Smith now available at Target

Since I have not seen any other posts on this and I know that a lot of you do get your supplies from Drs. Foster and Smith and hate to pay the postage and wait for your supplies, I thought I would write this.

Now, I am not trying to convert those of you who buy from Petco or PetSmart or anywhere else so don't get upset with me, but the Drs. Foster and Smith products are now available at Target stores. They decided that they should make their things available locally for most people so that they could get them immediately if they needed them sooner.

I know that this will not help everyone but those who are close to Target stores can get their supplies sooner and more conveniently.

WOO HOO! There is a super Target being built here in my town. I will probably have access to the producs before I can start my tank! WOOT WOOT!

Well I live in Canada, but their is a Target right across the street from my good LFS in Bemidji, Minn. Yahoo, will my good luck never end. Really, I was destined to keep fish. LOL

However, I thought it was mostly dog and cat food and stuff like that. If it is fish stuff.............so great.

Don't mind that 3 hour drive at all --well, until it is 40 below!!

You live in Canada and you consider BemidjI to be your Local Fish Store??? It's gotta be at least an hour beyond the border, and I'd guess closer to two.

 

As far as I know it's only cats and dog stuff right now. They just started doing this. I received an email from them about a month ago saying that they were going to start selling their cat and dog items at local target stores. I'm sure that if people start buying the stuff at target from them they may consider selling fish items there too along with other animal items. I'm not a big fan of target myself. I think they over price their stuff a lot, plus the quality of their stuff stinks especially their clothes. That's just my opinion though. We only go their if they happen to have a good sale on household items, however, I do have 2 dogs and I order bones and such for them often off of drs Foster and Smith so if they sell their dog bones there I'll buy some for them to save on shipping.;D Natalie

Yes that would be true, closer to 2, if you drive like me, and get the $132 speeding ticket , little more than 2 if you aren't in a hurry. Ouch...ya, that is $132 USD -- oh well, our $$$$$ is almost the samee - Yahoo.

Ya I found this excellent pet store down there ( didn't really know there was such a thing)..that is where I won the 55 gallon in a draw...course, had to buy the stand, that I thought came with it, no fish yet, as hubby is putting in a dedicated plug in. So $400 later I am almost ready to buy fish!!! ( But we have a beautiful stand from Foster & Smith....even without fish ) LOL I was just a betta girl before I won this, ready to spread my wings and buy a 29g.....so it was Kismit!!

Where are you?? Hardly anyone knows where BemidjI is....unless you are a fisherman or college student. My sister and brother live there, so we are there a lot. I live right on the border.

I am babbling...... Only a Walmart here. As many dead fish in every tank as there live ones............just terrible.

If you need a fish store and are close to Bemidji, it is in Simonson mall, called The Pet Store - owner is Rick. I told him I was singing his praises on the forum!! Bettas in clean water - imagine!:

AHA! I finally found the location of the near-mythical, gives away 55 gallon tanks, fish store!

I live in the Twin Cities area. Pretty much everybody born and raised in MN knows where BemidjI is. It's the home of the Paul Bunyon park. Aside from that, a friend of mine has family there and I've passed through it a few times on fishing trips.

Ya it was a sweet win! It was their 10th anniversary and one of their suppliers donated it. Go figure!!!

Being in the Twin City area, you would know --but see, there are still fish involved! It is a very neat town, even without the great fish store!

I agree to that. I am in a way too far to go to the States just to get fish supplies and drive all the way to a Target and then have to turn around and come back. For me, that would be an all day trip since I am about 2-3 hours from the border and then don't get me started on the border patrol.

Sort of. We took a little side trip once when we were on our way to a lake that's on the border, and one of the days on the lake, we wandered over to the Canada side, just to be funny and say we'd been in another country.
