Hello,

Noticed this on the site regarding this product:

Note: Drs. Foster and Smith Chlorine Neutralizer does not remove ammonia from the water. To remove ammonia, please use Drs. Foster and Smith Instant Ammonia Remover (#79366, 79367).

I recommend using Prime, it may cost more for less product, but you use less to treat more water, so instead of 5mL per 10 gallons of water, Prime will treat the same 10 gallons with 1mL of product. Best of luck.

+1 to using Prime. It may cost a little more, but in the long run you save money as you use so little of it. A 500 ml would last the average user many months. Plus it's good to have on hand to treat any random spike in ammonia or nitrite.

I'm a Seachem junkie, I would like/buy just about anything they sell, haha. Matrix, Flourish fertilizers, Paraguard, Stability, you name it, I've tried it, and usually with good results. I really like how they have their own forum where customers can ask questions about certain uses and they have actual Seachem employees that work in the test labs and such answering questions.

it works ! but you have to dose a lot more 1 cap does 10 gallons I believe. Prime 1 cap does 50 gallons

Agreed with Riv. Prime is the best water conditioner I've used to date and I've been in the hobby for about 45 years (or more).

(shop around for the best price)

Alright thanks guys. Prime is a little expensive but I think it's worth it. I was actually thinking of buying seachem safe. The powder version. What do you guys think about it?

Works the same, for me, its easier to measure the liquid version.

At bigalspets.com a 500 ml bottle costs a little more then $11.

I have that size bottle and have been using it for almost a year and I'm not even halfway done with it. I have 2 tanks (40 and a 20). So I should be able to get another year of use. 2 years of product for $11, I don't think it gets cheaper then that, haha.

Plus the benefit of having it around for emergencies with a ammonia and/or nitrite spike. I also agree with Rivieraneo, the liquid is easier to measure and dispense.
