Hey guys, two weeks ago, I posted a thread about my betta having dropsy, and I started medicating him with Kanaplex right before I had to go on vacation. Because the vacation was for two weeks, I didn't feel comfortable putting him in a hospital tank, and I also don't really have any... but either way his treatment is going on in the main tank. When I got back from vacation, I'd found that someone left all the tank lights on for two weeks straight, and algae was everywhere. The water level had also dropped below the filter line, and both sponges were dry, so I am not sure if my cycle crashed or not (I'll post the results as soon as I'm done testing) so I might have to do water changes every day, but I'm not sure how to keep medicating with Kanaplex. I added two doses before leaving, but should I restart medication completely? I just did a 50% water change. Also, should I do daily water changes even if the cycle is fine?
PS. Guys, don't leave your tank lights on for two weeks straight
