This is so hard to debate. She's acting goofy... she will chase food but not eat. lol Her scales look a little questionable on dropsy.

Thank you for the advice!!Surprisingly, her scales are smooth and flat. It could develop into dropsy later on, so watch out for that. Since her scales aren't raised she could be eggbound or constipated. I would fast her for a few days to see if the bloating goes down and feed a pea. After the fasting if she doesn't eat, I would think it's dropsy because bettas with dropsy usually won't eat. Then I would lower the amount you feed her and soak any dry foods. I would still watch out for raised scales, if there's no raised scales after a while, she's probably egg bound.
Yep it developed into dropsy. Get Kanaplex and start treating for it. Keep her water super clean during this time and don't feed her. If it gets anymore severe, do an epsom salt bath (1 tablespoon per gallon).Dropsy for sure View attachment 474049
I put her down. I didn't think she would recover. Have you had any luck with Maracyn Two? or is Kanaplex better?Yep it developed into dropsy. Get Kanaplex and start treating for it. Awww. Sad you put her down. Either one of those medication could treat dropsy, but I used Kanaplex for my betta because of it's availability and it worked.I put her down. I didn't think she would recover. Have you had any luck with Maracyn Two? or is Kanaplex better?View attachment 474284
