Hey all!
I need some advise on whether I should euthanize my cherry barb or hope he won't die within the next weeks.
Noticed today that one of my males has an eye popping out. I read up about it and think he must have injured himself as the males are quite into fighting over the females at the moment. (4 males and 8 females)
Thing is I won't be able to do much for him as I'm going overseas tomorrow for 6 weeks and my cat sitter is such a good person to do 20% water changes every 10-12 days.
I did a 50% change today in preparation for the trip.

I'm worried that he might die and thus cause trouble in form of decay... he hangs around and clamps up and is breathing heavier than usual. All other fish are fine.

Normally I wouldn't consider euthanizing him this early but there is nothing else I can do for him...

Oh thanks but too late now. He showed no improvement and I couldn't take the risk. So sad cause he hatched in my tank and I watched him and the others grow up...
Didn't take it lightly but I wanted the others to stay safe whilst I'm gone...
