I purchased driftwood from my LFS and I boiled it and soaked it until the water was clear. I woke up this morning and now my tank is cloudy.

    What went wrong?

    Is it cloudy or yellowish?
Any chance you could have stirred up some stuff off the bottom?

Maybe run some carbon and do some extra water changes, see if that helps.

Did you boil the driftwood first to remove the tannins? That should be the problem.

right now there are no fish in the tank. i am planning on putting fish plus TSS in a couple days.

I boiled the driftwood but I didn't do it for that long...only to kill potential things moving on it. It is cloudy or murky. No yellow tint at all.
