Hello,
I'm having my first experience with driftwood, so i need some advice from you guys:
couple months ago i was out with my family and i found a pile of (i believe it is, i'm not 100% sure) acacia tree.
so i took some pieces with me, clean them a bit and dump them in large bucket with water
after i while when they were already sank, i dropped salt in the bucket
i left them for about 3 months
the other day i pick them and rubbed them real good, using a toothbrush, peeling them off, even used a wire brush
then i boiled them for a while, a lot of tannin's was released, throw out that water and repeat the boiling again, this time the water is still with tannin's but in lower amount (maybe 50%)
should i continue to repeat the boiling process?
what should i do next?
