Dream come true?

I may be sleeping. Its possible that I'm dreaming. A good friend came over, with a chocolate milkshake no less (supports the dreaming idea) and says one of his family members is GIVING away a 100gal tank, plus all of the supplies. Heater filter Everything! Then asks if I want it. I might have cried a little. If I didnt have a milkshake still as proof I would still think I'm dreaming. If this happens for real I really might cry. I would pay the pet deposit my landlord would charge me for a tank like that. I would post about it on facebook but my friends just say ive turned into the crazy fish lady, but I know people here would understand. :-D now yes its not mine... Yet... But if it does I'm gonna need help. Ill have a paper bag on hand for the hyperventilating that will occur. What do you even do with a tank that size? I better go look at fish... Hehehe!

I can relate! Seven tanks in (and not looking for more) someone at work says "I know that you like fish, so I'm selling......" Hence a year ago, no saltwater experience AT ALL, I purchased a Nano Reef. We all preach "research before you buy" but sometimes circumstances just present themselves, and you go with your instinct. Which is a LOVE for the hobby. Every aquarist started from zero no matter their experience today. Will livestock suffer? Maybe... But most of the time it is not in vain. Ignorance does not equate stupidity or irreverence. I'm crying and hyperventilating with you Witchy! If you have the room, I'm with you though the whole process! Godspeed!

I reeeeeaaallly hope its true. Is it sad that even though its a huge tank I would be more interested in one big fish than a community? Lol

My 90 gallon just has one Oscar. She doesn't want company or decoration. My 40 gallon was cycled with BA tetras for ONE JD ciclid. A year later, all the tetras swim merrily with the JD. I don't even entertain putting anyone else in there.

Would a flowerhorn work in a 100gal?

He/she would LOVE a 100 gallon. Did you hear any more today?

Wow witchy that's great!!! a flowerhorn would be amazing in a 100 gal. I've always wanted a single flowerhorn to so I can understand just one big fish that acts like a puppy and gets alllll the attention in that tank, love it

a 100 gallon would work great for a flower horn, Gossimor loves his 90 gallon, plenty of swimming room for his 14 inch body.

Patience... I will not plan the scape... I will stop making potential stock lists... Or prename the fish... I will stop dreaming of a huge betta sorority...

I'm just hoping there's a stand that comes with it. Otherwise setup won't happen for quite a while.
