Double Red Apistogramma Agassizii alone

Hi all,
Still new here but question. I took in a lone double red apistogramma agassizii that was stressing in the tank it was in at the fish store. Now I'm trying to find friends for it and it's the hardest to do. My question is, can I go with a different apistogramma knowing they won't breed but would give them some kind of "socialization"? Very new to them and not sure other than knowing they should be in groups but I was told to stick to agassizzii but I think the person I asked thought I wanted to breed them.
Thank you in advance.

My male agassizii is very aggressive to other small cichlids, he even has a go at my festivums sometimes, it might be risky to get another Apistogramma. There are plenty of other fish that he would be fine with, depending on tank size etc.

Thank you so you think the apisto would have enough interaction without getting like fish? Right now he's in a 30 gallon breeder with 3 sephae tetras and 4 guppies.
