Remind me to never carry two fifty pound bags of PlaySand through HomeDepot.
I nearly fainted just trying to hold onto them, I thought it was the end of me.
Keep in mind that I only weigh 132 and the two bags weigh nearly as much as I did.

I felt really winded afterward, had to recuperate on the way home.

^ They do, but sometimes you forget how heavy a bag of sand can be and think, nah I don't need a cart!

Extremely true, I just forgot to grab one and wish I hadn’t

It is surprising that a bag that small size weighs a ton while a bag of bark dust that is three times the size weighs less.

Yes, because sand is crushed up shells and silica. Bark or mulch is fibrous and weighs extremely less than many other things. I had no trouble lifting five bags of gardening soil.
