Dollar store plants?

To make a long story short:

1.I went to Dollarama.

2.And saw this corner with lots of fake plants... I am pretty sure this is in every single dollar store.

3.I saw these two cool realistic looking plants. ( which I thought would look nice in my tank and my betta would appreciate.

4.These plants have no wires in them and the stems look to be plastic? the leaves look like silk in one plants and the other is all plastic? I was wondering if these are silk- how do you tell?

5. put them in warm water through out the night. no dyes seem to be released.

Is it ok to put in my tank?

I add pics in case it would help thx!
They are of leaves and stems

I think that you will be okay... especially since it is freshwater... as long as they aren't that "stringy" type of synthetic plants you should be okay!! If they are pure plastic you are definitely okay!

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

I've only used silk plants (no metal) from the dollar store. They worked well.

by "stringy plastic" I mean the synthetic plants that look kinda "fuzzy" they are really made like paper, but more compact(and look fuzzy/stringy)... but yours look pure plastic so I think your good!!
The silk leaves will do fine...

Good morning,

I used vines I bought from General Dollar or Family Dollar with no issues.

new update: found both had wires in them. The awesome part was that the plant was constructed in two parts the "floower sort of things" and the wires in plastic stems.I taped them together with tape (duh!) and voila:

the tape is ok right? it will be buried under the gavel

ok actually changed it up even more- you know how the "flowers and the silk leaves on the other plants seperate? I actually put them together.( hard to explain exactly how) but looks very cool in the tank and Heta is lovin' it.
